Some think this type of Thunderbug mutated inside an Elder Dragon. While they can be seen where Elder Dragons reside, sightings have also been reported in caves and near water sources at night.
Many as One: What may look like a single ball of light from a distance could actually be a group comprised of dozens of Great Thunderbugs. Much about their ecology is a mystery, including why they form groups.
Fearsome Electric Discharge: These aggressive insectoids charge at approaching foes and discharge all their electricity at once, immobilizing anything they hit. Hunters encountering them soon find themselves on the ground.
