After sucking in a large volume of air, this Flying Wyvern takes on its unique, rotund appearance. That air can then be expelled to propel itself. It is just as mild-mannered as it looks.

Softness Can Be Deceiving: The calm disposition, adorable face, and soft, white down make some think this is a benign monster. However, it is extremely hostile to threats and can be quite intimidating.

On Wafts of Air: Paolumu are the only species known to have a neck pouch, a flexible organ that expands when it inhales. The buoyancy lets it conserve energy by reducing the number of times it has to flap its wings.
