Pukei-Pukei

A venomous, forest-dwelling Bird Wyvern that uses its extendable tongue like a whip to lash out and grab food. It tends to harass weaker monsters but cowers before stronger ones.

Blend of Food and Poison: The Pukei-Pukei is known to keep eaten food in its jaw and tail pouches. Attacks are performed by combining stored food with poison from the poison sac and expelling the mixture from its mouth.

Shifting Colors: The uniquely structured feathers are coated with a fine crystal particulate. As such, adjusting the angle at which the feathers reflect light can make its body appear to change colors.
